I have always dreamed of working in a creative environment. But dammit I took the perceived safe “societal messaging” direction and landed myself in healthcare. Finally, after planning my own wedding and just saying NO to the typical template style, we were blessed with a wedding that felt like a complete reflection of the two of us. This was my moment where I decided I had to help others do the same and Sideways & Co. was born.
When I am not obsessing over everything Sideways, I am cuddling with my husband Jeff, sweet baby Eloise and our now geriatric rescue dog Gordy. We just bought our first home! a 1960's midcentury "inspired" ranch. We are busy renovating, making it feel like home and debating over how much floral is too much floral. Sunday supper is always a new pasta, wine or beer always seems like a good addition and I am most always wearing a messy bun.
Michelle is our amazing designer & stylist. She is the brains behind our brand. No detail will go unturned with this girl. Fun fact: Her floral game is A+
Victoria is our east coast talking, coordination queen + assistant of all the things. She always gets er done while having all the fun!
The beauty of not saying a complete goodbye to my hospital scrubs, and still working part time, is you come across other women, mamas and men that have that creative itch they want to scratch. Lucky for all of us, we get to have these professionals help with planning, coordinating and styling on an as needed basis. It truly is a win win !

I just want to preface that I'm not a very "go with the flow" type of person. I’m usually the one throwing events, so I can get pretty particular about all the details and how things should go. I can truly say that because of Meghan, I was able to for the first time have an amazing wedding day without any worries because I knew whatever came up, she would be able to handle it. When we first met with Meghan, she had everything laid out for us to easily digest her services. We did meet with 2 other planners before her but she just has the perfect blend of professionalism, organizational & design skills and a great personality that made the wedding planning process enjoyable and fun. During the planning process she researched, made calls, found prices (and deals!) and gave a lot of ideas and opinions. We brainstormed together a lot and she really listened and gave valuable feedback on what would and wouldn’t work. She responded quickly to all my questions and concerns. She also has a great eye for details and design. Honestly, I feel like you could just tell her what kind of vibe/feeling and colors you want and she would design a beautiful wedding that you would totally be happy with. Like I said before, on the day of the wedding, I didn’t have to think of anything but to be with my guests and have fun. She did ALL of the logistical thinking and took care of any issues that came up. She even brought food to my husband and me (unprompted) to make sure we ate something! Everyone who met with her said she was amazing. Even if you have spoken to other planners, you have to make time to meet with her. You won’t be disappointed. We went with her full service package and it is 100% WORTH IT.
